10th International Symposium on Sturgeon
- The 10th International Symposium on Sturgeon (ISS10) will be held in Yichang, China, from October 20th to the 25th, 2025. This symposium, organized by Wuhan University, China Three Gorges University, and China Three Gorges Corporation on behalf of the World Sturgeon Conservation Society (WSCS) and the China Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Association, aims to address the population declines and extinction of sturgeon species and their sustainable aquaculture. The theme of the symposium is “Is there a shared future for humans and sturgeons?” and it will feature various sessions, including plenary speeches, parallel sessions, special workshops, posters, and a trade show. The event is a significant platform for exchanging scientific information and promoting collaboration in the field of sturgeon conservation.

- The SIAA will be mentioned in a presentation by Paulo Bronzi in discussions on the U.S. ESA listing issues and potential sturgeon bans. The problem the farmed sturgeon market in the U.S. is facing and the SIAA’s mission and successes, will have a more in-depth overview in the publication to be released after the end of the Symposium.
