About Us

The Sturgeon Industry Alliance of America (SIAA) is a non-profit organization that educates its members, partners, law, and policymakers about the aquaculture industry, and its cultural and policy issues unique to the United States in relation to the global industry. The Association provides a much-needed cultural exchange to bring people together to gain a mutual understanding of and appreciation for the challenges facing the aquaculture industry on a global scale.

We strive to work with similar goals as the other leaders in the industry here and abroad and to inform and educate policymakers and the public on environmentally aligned industry practices – including individual and industry advocacy, a strong state and administrative government influence over federal bureaucrats, optimistic self-reliance, conscious utilization of our abundant natural resources, and ethically oriented economic growth and opportunities.

Furthermore, the Sturgeon Industry Alliance of America is a charitable, independent non-profit trade organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Charitable contributions are tax-deductible for income, gift, and estate taxes to the extent allowed by law. SIAA accepts personal, corporate, and PAC contributions. The Association is governed by a Board of aquaculture industry leaders, experts, and advisors.
